Kinston, NColorCoat, Inc..C. – Lenoir County Economic Development and the Lenoir County Board of Commissioners announced today that ColorCoat, Inc. will invest over $300,000 in equipment and machinery in Lenoir County. The facility will create 45 new jobs during the year.

“Having a new company that is a spinoff of an existing company locating with new jobs comes from maintaining strong working relationships between our Economic Development leadership team and our existing companies,” said Chairman Craig Hill, Lenoir County Board of Commissioners. “Another good day to be in Lenoir County.”

ColorCoat, Inc. has been in operation for over five years at their home office located in West Sacramento, California. They are the exclusive provider of painting services for vinyl and fiberglass building products in the Western United States. They have recently offered specialized coatings to painting contractors for field applications. Color Coat, Inc. serves many major window and door manufacturers and dealers, such as: International Window of Northern California, America Building Products, Inc., Empire Pacific Windows, Western Windows, Inc. We think that bringing companies from other states speaks volumes for our workforce training and quality of life.”

The company will hire painters, dissemblers, maskers, cleaners, re-assemblers, and production leads among other jobs.

The project was made possible in part by a performance-based grant from Lenoir County and the City of Kinston. The local performance-based grant provides financial assistance, through local governments, to attract business projects that will stimulate economic activity and create new jobs in the county and city. Companies receive no upfront money and must meet job creation and investment performance standards to qualify for grant funds. The grant is specific to the company’s new facility with an investment of $300,000 and the announcement of 45 new jobs.

Other partners that helped with the project include: North Carolina Community College System, Lenoir County Economic Development, Lenoir County, City of Kinston, N.C. Department of Commerce, and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina.
